20" Under Cabinet Ductless Retractable Range Hood

Model HRTX20SS is a 20" wide range hood in a brushed stainless steel finish. The low profile design provides a minimalist look, seamlessly blending into your kitchen when not in use. For maximum surface coverage, the retractable hood slides out as needed. Two oversized aluminum mesh filters with a carbon layer absorb grease, smoke, and cooking odors. This hood is equipped with two pre-installed LED light bulbs to provide convenient illumination over your cooking surface.

Unlike traditional ductless ventilation, our retractable hood is not convertible: it's exclusively designed, constructed, and tested for ductless applications where there is no access to outside venting. Instead of blocking airflow with a simple baffle, the Summit engineering team has created a quieter, more efficient system with smarter technology. It utilizes a cross-flow fan to rotate horizontally, redirecting air smoothly out of the front louvers set at a slight upwards angle to ensure smoke and odors won't be directed towards the user. This maintains laminar airflow, avoiding back pressure and minimizing noise. Though it operates at a lower CFM, its effective airflow outperforms traditional axial fans with a more efficient, quient performance.

Model HRTX20SS ships without a power cord and is designed to be hard-wired by a licensed professional. We also offer this unit with a pre-installed power cord and plug (add suffix "PTC"), as well as ADA compliant options with separate controls to be installed according to ADA guidelines.
