SUMMIT ACCUCOLDtm VLT and VT series freezers with the "IB" (ice-bank) suffix are unique low-temperature freezers with two ice-banks of non-toxic 'blue' ice to provide a stable temperature environment for laboratory, scientific and certain foodservice customers. Electronic controls, an external thermometer and an audible alarm are standard, as is a lock. No interior lighting is provided. Manual defrosting. VLT and VT "IB" freezers also provide some protection against power outages, as they will protect the contents against thawing for many hours, depending on the ambient temperature. Available in 4 sizes of chest freezer, and one upright freezer.
