We are looking for an individual who will work in the office, but is eager to interact with manufacturing, shipping and customer service personnel to learn about all aspects of our business. The principal objective of the job will be to work with our parts and customer service team and handle all aspects of the supply chain, inventory and optimal stock level of spare parts for our products. The position will interact with our supplier base and senior management daily.

Our ideal candidate is someone who can handle a high pressure job – who is comfortable in both an office and an operations environment – and is incredibly organized to keep tabs on hundreds of details at the same time. Great math, Excel, and communication skills are also needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A 4 year college degree or a two year degree and equivalent operations experience.

Role Summary/Purpose:
SUMMIT Appliances (, a Division of Felix Storch, Inc. is a 45 year old private business, located in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. We are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances and are adding staff to handle our recent growth, and the anticipated growth from the largest product expansion in our history. We are seeking 2 individuals to handle our customer calls, initially assisting in our customer service call center with troubleshooting and problem resolution for major accounts and transitioning into sales.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of major appliance experience in either a sales or customer service position.

These are key positions in the company and will be filled by an enthusiastic, customer-service oriented individuals who are passionate about solving problems. The individuals selected will assume sales and customer service responsibility for some of our key accounts, and will interface with CSR's and senior management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must have some ability to understand how appliances operate and troubleshoot simple problems, especially on refrigeration and cooking appliances.

Claims Support Representative

Role Summary/Purpose:
We are currently seeking a Claims Support Representative to handle incoming request for claims via email and the telephone.  Anticipated work hours for this position are approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM - M-F. Candidate will be compensated at an hourly wage range of $14.00 to $17.00 P/H based on experience. Claims Support Representative Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Solid analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve issues inherent in handling claims
  • Handle incoming requests for claims via email and the telephone
  • Able to plan and organize activities and work load and respond to multiple demands
  • Handling high volume of phone calls and troubleshooting appliances
  • Dispatching and scheduling of service calls both locally and nationally
  • Assisting/researching in finding national vendors/service technicians
  • Communicate with customers and dealers as to latest status of claim issues
  • Coordinate technical support for customers whose problems have returned or new issues that have been opened
  • Responsible for polite and professional customer service at all times
  • Some occasional overtime may be required as needed
